Mr. Tai-qi Wang graduated from the Shanghai Chinese Opera Academy. While he was one of the primary actors of the Shanghai Kunqu Troupe, Mr. Wang also taught Kunqu performing skills there. Over the past years, he has performed in a number of countries, including Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. As a well-known performer of the young male roles in Kunqu, he is good at interpreting the characters. Moreover, he is proficient in a few musical instruments, such as flute and drum. In the United States, he has performed at Columbia University and the Lincoln Center in New York, the Smithsonian Museum in Washington DC, and the University of California at Berkeley.
