Mr. Fu-lin Wen, a graduate of the Shanghai Chinese Opera Academy, is a well-known Kunqu performer of the old male roles. He was the primary actor of the Zhejiang Kunqu Troupe in China and is now a major player for the Kunqu performances in the United States in such areas as New York, Washington DC, Los Angles and San Francisco. Since 1999, he has played the lead old male role in Lincoln Center's presentation of The Peony Pavilion in New York, Paris, Milan, Sydney, Copenhagen, Berlin and Vienna.
